The essentials

EuroHockey Championships 2027 is the premier European tournament for hockey. It brings together the top international men’s, women’s and Hockey ID teams from across Europe to compete for the title of European Champions.

EuroHockey Championships 2027 will take place in London from 28 July to 8 August 2027.

  • Pool matches and quarter finals will be played at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre
  • Semi-Finals and Finals and the classifications for 5th – 8th games will be played at Twickenham Stoop

EuroHockey Championships 2027 is being planned and delivered by England Hockey, in partnership with EuroHockey and other event stakeholders.

Yes. The EuroHockey Championships 2027 is a Direct Qualification event for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

For EuroChamps27, the decision to host both venues in London followed a robust, competitive venue tender process, delivered in partnership with UK Sport and event delivery experts. This process assessed venues across multiple criteria, including athlete welfare, broadcast delivery, fan experience, commercial sustainability and long-term legacy for the sport.

 

When will England play?

Yes. England’s men’s, women’s and Hockey ID teams will compete across the 12 days of the tournament, with England match days confirmed within the schedule.

Yes. England men and women will both play at Twickenham Stoop, which will host all placing matches on Finals Weekend, including the Finals 3rd/4th, 5th/6th and 7th/8th place matches.

This format guarantees that England will feature at the Stoop regardless of their progression in the tournament, ensuring fans can see the home nation compete on the biggest stage.

Yes. England’s pool-stage matches and Quarter Finals will take place at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre. Exact times of the matches are subject to the final draw.

England’s match days are already confirmed, but the push-back times will be confirmed once the full tournament draw is released in due course.

Tickets and attendance

Tickets will go on General Sale in July 2026 with those who have registered their interest having access to early ticket release from Spring 2026.

General Sale tickets will be released to the public in July 2026. However, the best way to secure early access and your preferred seats is through the Priority Window, which opens in Spring 2026. Fans are encouraged to register their interest to access this window and avoid missing out on the biggest matches.

The Priority Window offers exclusive, early access to purchase EuroHockey Championships 2027 tickets before they go on general sale.

There are two ways to qualify for early access:

  1. Purchase a Pro League Ticket: Anyone who purchases a ticket for the FIH Pro League 26 will automatically unlock entry to the EuroChamps27 Priority Window.
  2. Register your interest – Sign up to receive your Priority Window access link when the window opens.

No. Registering your interest does not guarantee tickets. It provides access to an early-access purchasing window via a presale link. If this window is missed, tickets will need to be purchased during General Sale, subject to availability. To ensure you receive all updates, please make sure you are subscribed to England Hockey communications by registering your interest.

Registering your interest provides early access, increasing your opportunity to select preferred matches and seats, subject to availability.

Tickets will only be available via our official ticketing partner, Ticketmaster. The official ticketing page will open in Spring 2026 for the start of the presale window for those who have registered their interest. Further details will be released closer to Spring 2026.

Hospitality

Yes. A range of premium experiences will be available, including private suites and shared club lounges. By registering your interest, you will receive future communications about available hospitality packages.

A limited number of hospitality packages will be available during the pre-sale window, with additional packages released during General Sale.

TICKETS, SESSIONS & MATCHDAY EXPERIENCE

A single ticket provides access to all matches scheduled within the selected day, unless stated otherwise.

Yes. Many days will feature between 3 and 6 matches per day, offering great value and an extended matchday experience.

THE FORMAT

EuroChamps27 features a 12-team knockout format:

  1. Pools – Teams Compete in 4 pools of 3 teams. The top six nations on the FIH world rankings following the 2026 World Cup will be split across Pools A and B, while Pools C and D will include the teams ranked 7 to 12. Teams in Pools A and B will all progress to the Quarter-Finals, but will jockey for position in the Quarter-Finals. They will be joined by the top ranking teams in Pool B and C at the conclusion of their matches.
  2. Quarter Finals – After the opening group phase, the competition will progress into quarter-finals, featuring:
  3. Winner of Pool A playing the winner of Pool D; Winner of Pool B faces the winner of Pool C
  4. Runner-up in Pool A plays third in Pool B; runner-up in Pool B plays third in Pool A
  5. Finals Stage – From the Quarter-Finals onwards, the tournament follows a straight knockout format through to the Semi-Finals` and Finals.
  6. Classification Matches – All teams are ranked from 1st to 12th. Quarter-final losers play for 5th–8th place. Remaining teams compete for 9th–12th positions.

ACCESSIBILITY & INCLUSIVITY

Yes. Both Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre and Twickenham Stoop are fully accessible venues, with dedicated wheelchair platforms, amenity seating, and accessible facilities throughout.

Accessible tickets and companion vouchers will be available via Ticketmaster during the Priority Window and General Sale. More information will be shared closer to ticket launch.

CHILDREN & FAMILIES

Yes. U16S and concession pricing will be available across selected ticket categories.

GROUP BOOKINGS

Yes. Group bookings will be available for all sessions. Groups will be required to complete a Group Booking Enquiry Form to register their interest.

Instructions on how to purchase group booking tickets, including eligibility, pricing, and minimum group sizes, will be shared with registered groups closer to Spring 2026.

GET INVOLVED

Absolutely. Our Hockey Makers (Volunteers) are the heartbeat of hockey events hosted in England. A wide range of roles will be available across spectator services, media, transport, and much more. Applications will open in Spring 2026.

EVENT OPERATIONS & SAFETY

A full list of prohibited items will be published closer to the event; this will vary between the venues.

Yes. Security screening and searches will be in place at both venues.

Getting to the venues

Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre is well connected to London’s public transport network. We strongly recommend travelling by public transport, walking, or cycling where possible.

Public Transport

Which train or Underground stations should I use?

We recommend travelling to either Stratford Station or Stratford International Station, both of which are within walking distance of the venue.

What services run to Stratford Station?

  • London Underground: Elizabeth line, Jubilee line, Central line, Docklands Light Railway (DLR)
  • National Rail: Greater Anglia services to Liverpool Street, Essex and East Anglia, and London Overground services

What services run to Stratford International Station?

  • Docklands Light Railway (DLR)
  • National Rail: Southeastern High Speed services to and from St Pancras International

Buses

Which bus routes serve the venue?

The following bus routes stop close to or within walking distance of Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre:

  • 308, W15, N26 – stop directly outside the venue
  • 97, 339, 388, N205 – run through Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

Walking

Can I walk to the venue from Stratford?

Yes. The venue is easily walkable from Stratford and Stratford International stations. Clearly signed walking routes will be in place on event days.

Are there any access restrictions when leaving the venue?

Yes. Exit via South Street onto Temple Mills Lane will be closed. All spectators must exit through the main entrance.

Parking

Is spectator parking available at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre?

There is no spectator parking available on competition and event days but there are other car parks within the vicinity.

Where should I park if travelling by car?

If you are driving, we recommend parking at Stratford International or Westfield Stratford City, then walking to the venue on the official last-mile route.

Twickenham Stoop is well connected to London’s public transport network. We strongly recommend travelling by public transport, walking, or cycling where possible.

Which train or Underground stations should I use?

We recommend travelling to Twickenham Station, which is a short walk from the stadium.

Which train services run to Twickenham Station?

Regular services operate from:

  • London Waterloo
  • Clapham Junction
  • Reading
  • Ascot
  • Windsor & Eton Riverside

Which bus routes serve Twickenham Stoop?

The following bus routes pass close to the stadium:

281, 267, 481, 681, H20

Alternatively, the following services stop at Twickenham High Street, which is a short walk to the stadium:

R68, R70, 33, 110, 290, H22, 490

Driving & Parking

Can I travel to Twickenham Stoop by car?

Yes, however spectators are encouraged to use public transport where possible due to local traffic and limited parking availability. Paid car parking will be available to purchase near-by closer to the event.

What are the driving directions to Twickenham Stoop?

  • From the M25, exit at Junction 12 onto the M3 towards London
  • Continue onto the A316
  • At the Whitton Road roundabout (next to the Lexus/Toyota dealership), take the fourth exit
  • Turn back on yourself and follow signs to parking area
